Please call now for appointments with our nurses.  We have several flu clinics set up for your convenience.  Please print out and complete a consent form to save yourself some time the day of your appointment.

FSA/HSA Reimbursable over-the-counter medication.

You have the right to purchase any over the counter medications for your children; however, please be aware that the providers at Penfield Pediatrics will not write prescriptions for any over the counter medications that we have not recommended for our patients.  If your child is seen in the office and your provider recommends an over the counter medication, we will write a prescription if you request it.  If your child takes an over the counter medication for health maintenance as recommended by your provider, we will write a prescription if you request it.  Penfield Pediatrics reserves the right to charge a $5.00 fee per prescription written for multiple, frequent requests.  We will require 48 hours to generate prescriptions or complete required forms from your Flexible Spending Plan.  We encourage you to communicate with your health insurance carrier and your Flexible Spending plan to become aware of the over the counter medications that are reimbursable under your plan.  Please contact our office directly with requests. 

Vitamin D Drops. 

It is recommended that babies receive 400 units of Vitamin D each day.  We have recently acquired Baby D Drops in the office.  This product provides your baby with the daily requirement in a single drop.  For nursing Moms, you can simply place a drop on the nipple and your baby will ingest this important vitamin by simply sucking as usual.  For babies eating solids, you can place a drop on the food.  You can get a 3 year supply of Baby D drops for $10.00 in the office.  Please ask for more information when you are in for your well baby check.

Exciting Office Changes. 

Over the past year there have been significant technological advances in our office.  We have  implemented an electronic medical record system.  In accordance with state and federal guidelines, this system will hopefully make your children's medical information more easily recorded, accessed, and communicated.  We ask for your patience and feedback as we fine tune this system.  We will continue to keep you updated as changes unfold.
