Elliot Kaplan, MD, PhD

Dr. Kaplan graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a B.A. in Biology and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He went on to earn a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA Brain Research Institute. He received his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed his pediatric internship and residency at Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kaplan is board certified in pediatrics, is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is an active member of the Monroe County Medical Society. He is a clinical attending at the Golisano Children’s Hospital. He and his wife live in Penfield and have a married son who is an incredible computer programmer.
Barbara Heintz, MD

Dr. Heintz graduated from Knox College with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She then obtained her M.D. at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Rochester. Dr. Heintz is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Timothy Geen, MD

Dr. Geen was a Loyola Scholar and graduated magna cum laude from Canisius College with a B.A. in Biochemistry. He received his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed his pediatric internship and residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Geen is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Deborah Abell, MD

Originally from Fairport, Dr. Abell has been a board-certified pediatrician since 1999. She graduated with high honors in Biology and English from Middlebury College, attended medical school at the University of Vermont and stayed on for pediatrics training and chief residency. Following her training, Dr. Abell worked in Massachusetts for eight years before returning to Rochester with her husband, a physician at Penfield Family Medicine, and their two sons. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Eric Socha, MD

Dr. Socha graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Biology and Chemistry. He earned his M.D. from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, completed his pediatric residency at Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, and later served as Pediatric Chief Resident at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in Pediatrics, is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the Rochester Pediatric Society and Rochester General Primary Care Council. Prior to joining Penfield Pediatrics, Dr. Socha worked for five years as a primary care pediatrician in Greece. He lives in Irondequoit with his wife and son.
Jason Wells, MD

Dr. Wells grew up in Marion, and graduated from Fairport High School. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Biology with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Penn State University. He also earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine at Penn State. He returned to Rochester to complete his residency in pediatrics through the University of Rochester at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He lives in Brighton with his wife and two young children.
Marietta Cutrone, RN, PNP

Ms. Cutrone graduated with honors from the University of Rochester having received her B.S. and M.S. in the School of Nursing. She is licensed as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has extensive experience in primary care pediatrics.
